Device Power: Type-II Cable Kit

  • Use a multimeter to locate a fuse that supplies power even when the vehicle is turned off (such as the emergency hazard lights and interior/door lights) and connect the yellow wire (B+) to the fuse.
  • Use the multimeter to locate a fuse that does not supply power when the vehicle is turned off (such as the indicator lights) and connect the red wire (ACC) to the fuse.
  • The black wire (GND) must be connected to the vehicle's ground point. This product may not work properly if it is not grounded.

Dry Fit

Determine placement of camera on the front windshield. (Dry fit only. It’s important to run cabling to power source first.)

Affix the Camera

  • Clean the windshield with alcohol wipe prior to mounting the fleet cam. Make sure that the windshield surface is dry and free of condensation.

  • Peel the film off the back of the mounting plate and affix the plate securely onto the windshield. Press on the plate firmly for approximately 30 seconds to ensure it is mounted securely.

  • Wait at least one hour (a wait period of 24 hours is recommended) before attaching the fleet cam to the mounting plate in order for the adhesive to form a strong bond between surfaces.

  • Attach the fleet cam to the mounting plate by matching the positions of the mounting holes on the back of the camera with the hooks on the rear plate. Slide the fleet cam sideways until it clicks in place.

  • Camera should be mounted as high on the windscreen as possible.

  • Camera should be mounted off-centre towards the driver – closer is better.

  • Camera position should not obstruct driver’s direct line of sight to the road or traffic signs, and should comply with local regulations.

  • DMS (Driver Monitoring) functionality is severely compromised if the camera is mounted on the passenger side.

  • Camera wire should be routed around the windshield and should not obstruct the view of the driver.

Before using the fleet cam to record videos, peel off the protective film covering the camera lens. The fleet cam will automatically turn on once the vehicle engine is started and the system will automatically begin continuous loop recording after a few seconds.

During continuous loop recording, if a sudden event (such as driving over a road bump, vehicle collision, high-speed driving, or making a sharp turn) has been detected, the G-sensor will prompt the fleet cam to record the event. You can also press the emergency recording button to record a video manually while continuous loop recording is in progress.
