IVMS Rest Guide - Driver

The IVMS tracker is designed to monitor correct rest / fatigue breaks are taken by operator.

  • Start Vehicle - Swipe key fob to sign on
  • Tracker will beep when ignition is detected
  • Once signed on, tracker will stop beeping and light will flash green
  • 30 mins before break is due tracker will blink red light and beep 3 times in 3 seconds. This is the warning for a break to be taken in the next 30 minutes
  • Drive times are set by NHVR Driving Standards
  • Option 1 is 5 hours of driving time before break required
  • Start break by pressing the rest button while at a stop
  • End break by pressing the rest button or driving off
  • If break is not taken, the tracker will emit a constant beep for 2 minutes and the light will be red on the tracker
  • After 2 minutes, the beep will stop but the light will stay red
  • First break is set for 15 minutes. It can be longer, but has to be at least 15 minutes. Asset cannot move or the counter will start again
  • Break cannot be broken up. It is a 15 minute solid block of time
  • Light will change to green when enough time has passed for an acceptable break
  • Reports can be auto generated for your asset that will break down all breaks and durations with locations listed as well.  Advanced Fatigue Management Report.
  • These reports will also point out when fatigue rules have not been followed correctly.
